3. Training Included

Having the equipment is only part of the package – knowing how to use it is equally important.

Your system therefore includes:

• Approximately 6 hours of ECU remapping and map-editing training videos
• Training covering the principles of reading, modifying and writing ECU files
• Video demonstrations covering common vehicle diagnostic procedures
• Guidance to help you become familiar with the supplied diagnostic and ECU equipment

4. 12 Months Diagnostic Central Professional Support

This is one of the biggest differences between buying a Diagnostic Central system and simply purchasing diagnostic equipment online.

Every complete system includes 12 months of access to our professional technical support team.

Our support department consists of six trained mechanics, each with a minimum of 10 years’ experience. This means you’re dealing with people who understand vehicles and workshop diagnostics rather than a general customer-service department reading from a script.

Our support team is available:

• Monday to Saturday: 9:00am – 9:00pm
• Sunday: 4:00pm – 9:00pm

During your 12-month support period we can assist with:

• Using the supplied diagnostic equipment
• Using the diagnostic software
• Locating functions within the software
• General mechanical and diagnostic advice
• Help interpreting diagnostic information
• Troubleshooting equipment and software problems
• Guidance with common diagnostic procedures
• Remote assistance through AnyDesk

• Demonstrating supported diagnostic procedures directly on your own system

If you get stuck, our team can often connect remotely to your tablet using AnyDesk, see exactly what you are seeing and either correct the problem or show you how to perform the required diagnostic procedure.

This is genuine ongoing technical support for 12 months – not simply a product warranty or an email address to contact if something stops working.

Compact 8″ Workshop & Mobile Diagnostic Tablet

The 8″ touchscreen format provides the functionality of a Windows diagnostic computer in a compact package that is easy to carry around a vehicle.

Its smaller size makes it particularly useful for mobile diagnostic work, road testing, viewing live data from inside the vehicle and technicians who do not want to carry a larger laptop or tablet between jobs.

Despite its compact size, this is a complete Windows-based diagnostic system running the same core professional diagnostic and ECU software supplied with our larger complete packages.

Intelligent System Scan – ISS

On supported vehicles, Intelligent System Scan can scan multiple control systems and display the fault codes stored within them.

This provides a quick overview of the vehicle before allowing you to enter an individual control system for more detailed diagnosis.

Intelligent System Identification – ISI

Intelligent System Identification helps identify the compatible controller fitted to the vehicle and automatically select the appropriate diagnostic parameters.

Automatic VIN Identification

On supported vehicles, the diagnostic software can read the Vehicle Identification Number directly from the vehicle and use this information to assist with identifying the correct model and configuration.

Live Data

View real-time information from compatible sensors and control modules while the vehicle is operating.

Live data is particularly useful when diagnosing intermittent or performance-related faults where a stored fault code alone does not provide enough information.

Flight Recorder

Where supported by the selected diagnostic VCI, the flight recorder function allows diagnostic parameters to be recorded during a road test.

This can be particularly useful when investigating intermittent faults that only occur under particular driving conditions.

Multi-Colour VCI Status Indicator

Where fitted to the selected diagnostic interface, the multi-colour status indicator provides visual information about the connection and communication status of the VCI.

Vehicle Voltage Monitoring

Supported diagnostic interfaces can monitor vehicle supply voltage during diagnostic operation and provide a warning if the voltage becomes unsuitable.

Maintaining a stable vehicle voltage is particularly important during diagnostic procedures, adaptations and programming operations.

Multi-Language Diagnostic Software

Delphi/Autocom supports multiple interface languages, including English and a wide selection of European languages.

We normally configure systems in English unless otherwise requested and available.

ECU Reading, Writing & Remapping

In addition to vehicle diagnostics, this package includes a separate ECU read/write and remapping interface together with supporting software.

This allows experienced users to read ECU files from supported vehicles, work with those files using the supplied software and write compatible files back to supported ECUs.

The package also includes WinOLS and other ECU-related applications for users wishing to learn about ECU map files and calibration editing.

DPF, EGR & Lambda Software

The system includes separate specialist software applications for identifying and working with relevant areas of supported ECU files, including:

• DPF-related ECU data
• EGR-related ECU data
• Lambda/O2-related ECU data

ECU Safe and additional ECU utilities are also included.

Important: Any modification to a vehicle’s emissions-control system must comply with the law applicable to the vehicle and its intended use. The inclusion of software capable of modifying ECU files does not mean that every possible modification is legal for use on public roads.

ECU Remapping Training & Support – Important Information

The package includes extensive training material for ECU reading, writing and map editing, but our live 12-month technical support service does not include advising customers what changes to make to an individual vehicle’s ECU map.

There is an important reason for this.

When assisting remotely, we cannot physically inspect the vehicle, independently verify its exact ECU configuration or guarantee that all vehicle, VIN and ECU information supplied to us is correct.

Incorrect ECU identification, an unsuitable file or incorrect data being written to an ECU can corrupt or lock the control unit and potentially prevent the vehicle from starting.

For this reason, we do not remotely instruct customers what map modifications to make to a particular vehicle.

Instead, approximately 6 hours of ECU remapping and map-editing training videos are supplied so customers wishing to learn can understand the equipment, software and principles involved.

Our normal 12-month support remains available for the diagnostic equipment, diagnostic software, general mechanical/diagnostic assistance and system troubleshooting.

Please Don’t Compare This Package With Cheap Marketplace Diagnostic Kits

Diagnostic equipment that looks the same externally is not necessarily the same internally.

Diagnostic Central has specialised in automotive diagnostic equipment for approximately 15 years. During that time we have made test purchases from numerous competitors and online marketplaces, including eBay, AliExpress, Alibaba, Wish, Temu and other suppliers.

This is a complete supported diagnostic and ECU package – not simply a tablet and code reader supplied in a box.

Grade B Refurbished Tablet

The 8″ Windows tablet supplied with this package is a Grade B refurbished unit.

Every tablet is fully tested and fully functional before being supplied, but as a Grade B refurbished machine it will show signs of previous use.

Cosmetic wear may include:

• Scratches or marks to the casing
• Minor scuffs
• Signs of previous use around the edges or rear casing
• Light cosmetic wear to the screen

These cosmetic marks do not affect the operation of the tablet or diagnostic system.

The tablet is Grade B refurbished. All other equipment supplied with the package is new unless specifically stated otherwise.

Tablet Specification & Substitution

The exact make, model, colour and appearance of the 8″ tablet may vary according to availability.

We reserve the right to substitute the tablet for another unit of equal or higher specification and/or value if required.

We will never intentionally downgrade the computer specification, and the supplied software package will remain equivalent.

Product photographs are therefore for illustration purposes and the exact tablet supplied may differ cosmetically from the one pictured.

Choose Your Diagnostic VCI

This package is available with a choice of diagnostic interfaces, allowing you to select the VCI that best suits your requirements and budget.

The exact functions of features such as flight recording, status indicators and vehicle communication can vary according to the VCI option selected.

24V Commercial Vehicle Use

If you intend to use the diagnostic interface on a 24V vehicle, we recommend purchasing our 24V to 12V OBD Power Supply Adapter.

Important Vehicle Coverage Information

No multi-brand diagnostic system supports every function on every vehicle.

Coverage and available functions depend on the vehicle manufacturer, model, production year, engine, communication system and individual control modules fitted.
