Choose Your Diagnostic VCI

Choose one VCI when ordering: Single Board, Double Board, DC’s Own Single Board or WOW. The package contains only the selected model. Exterior appearance, supplied leads and supported functions can vary according to the VCI selected.

Grade B Panasonic Toughbook FZ-G1

The FZ-G1 is refurbished and sold as Grade B. It is fully tested and functional but can show noticeable cosmetic signs of previous professional use, including marks, scratches or casing wear. Cosmetic condition varies between individual tablets and does not affect the stated functionality.

No stylus is supplied. A suitable Toughbook charger/power supply is included.

Professional Multi-Brand Diagnostics

The installed Delphi/Autocom and WOW software provides multi-brand diagnostic coverage for supported cars, vans and commercial vehicles. Depending on the selected VCI, software, vehicle and fitted control modules, functions can include:

• Reading and clearing diagnostic trouble codes
• Manufacturer-specific diagnostics and full-system scans
• Generic EOBD/OBD-II communication
• Real-time live data
• Engine, ABS, SRS/airbag and transmission diagnostics
• Climate, instrument, body and comfort-system diagnostics
• Immobiliser and TPMS diagnostics where supported
• Service resets and DPF/FAP diagnostic functions
• Actuator tests, adaptations and adjustments where supported
• VIN/system identification, reports and flight recording where supported by the selected VCI

Compatibility notice: not every function is available on every vehicle. Coverage varies according to manufacturer, model, year, engine, fitted control modules, software and the VCI selected.

KESS and KTAG ECU Read/Write Equipment

• KESS provides ECU communication through the vehicle diagnostic connection on supported vehicles, allowing compatible ECU files to be read and written without opening the ECU where supported.
• KTAG provides additional direct ECU communication methods, including supported bench and boot-mode applications.

Vehicle and ECU coverage varies. Including both interfaces does not mean every ECU can be read or written using every method.

Installed Software and Training

The FZ-G1 is prepared before dispatch with automotive software installed and configured. This includes the supplied diagnostic applications, ECU read/write software for the included interfaces, WinOLS, DPF/EGR/Lambda utilities, ECU Safe, selected radio-decoding utilities and AnyDesk. Software availability, functions and compatibility can vary by installed version, vehicle and hardware.

Training material includes approximately six hours of ECU remapping and map-editing videos, guidance on using the supplied ECU equipment and videos covering common diagnostic procedures.

Important ECU Remapping Notice

ECU reading, writing and file modification require appropriate knowledge and care. Incorrect procedures, unsuitable files, interrupted communication or unstable power can damage an ECU or prevent a vehicle from starting. Research the correct procedure, maintain stable power and make suitable backups before beginning.

Diagnostic Central can assist with operation of the supplied equipment and installed system. Support does not include creating or modifying remap files, mileage correction, or responsibility for damage caused by incorrect use, unsuitable files or unsupported procedures.

12 Months of Technical Support

The package includes 12 months of support for the supplied installation and diagnostic system from a team of trained mechanics with practical workshop and diagnostic experience. Support can include help using the equipment and software, locating supported functions, interpreting diagnostic information, troubleshooting installation or configuration problems, guidance with common procedures and remote assistance through AnyDesk where appropriate.

24V Vehicle Precaution

Vehicle charging voltage can rise above the nominal 24V supply. Use an appropriate 24V-to-12V OBD power adaptor where required to protect a diagnostic interface that is not designed for the higher charging voltage. Check the requirements of the selected VCI before connecting it to a 24V vehicle.
